Dress Code
(last updated for 2006-2007 school year -- please check with school office to verify information)
Boys (all grades)
Shirts:
White or maroon golf shirt with school logo (long or short sleeve). Optional maroon cardigan sweater.
Pants:
Gray twill pants with an appropriate black belt (pants and belt should be fitted for the "dress" style and not the "baggie" style).
Shoes:
Black shoes -- no sneakers or sneaker style, sport type, walking shoes or boots.
Socks:
White or black socks -- no design and must be up to the ankles -- "shortie" socks that hide in the shoes are NOT permitted.
Jewelry:
Watch, SMALL religious medal or cross (worn inside the shirt for safety reasons). NO earrings.
Girls
Grades K - 4: Maroon plaid jumper with white peter pan collar blouse (long or short sleeve), optional white turtleneck and maroon cardigan sweater.
Grades 5 - 8: Maroon plaid kilt (length MUST be no more than 2 inches above the knees. Please advise your daughter of this regulation) with white or pink oxford blouse (long or short sleeve), optional maroon sweater vest.
Grades K - 8: White or maroon golf shirt with school logo (long or short sleeve), optional maroon cardigan. Grey skort (length MUST be no more than 2 inches above the knee).
Shoes:
Black and white saddle, brown penny loafers, tan buck style with red rubber soles. These are the only acceptable shoe styles. If you are not sure if your child's shoes are acceptable, please give me a call or stop by my office. DO NOT spend money on shoes that are not acceptable. I'd hate to have you waste your money. I understand that accidents happen and children grow but please understand that this policy stands until the last day of school in fairness to all students.
Socks/Tights:
Maroon knee socks or maroon tights. Since tights are hard to find in the Spring please make sure your daughter has enough to last until the last day of school especially if she chooses not to wear knee socks.
Jewelry:
Watch, NO bracelets, scrunchies, etc. around the arm or wrist, SMALL religious medal or cross (worn inside the shirt for safety reasons). NO other style necklace is permitted. Only one set of small POST EARRINGS may be worn in the lower part of the earlobe (not the cartilage part of the ear). No hoops of any size of dangling style earrings.
Make-up:
NO MAKE-UP OF ANY FORM IS TO BE WORN (this includes natural lip gloss which then turns in to light pink being worn and then ...you get the picture). NO NAIL POLISH (please remember to remove it for Monday MORNINGS after those special weekend occasions). NO FAKE FINGER NAILS (once again don't waste the money).
Hair Styles For Boys and Girls (ALL GRADES):
Both boys and girls are to have their hair arranged in an appropriate manner. As I have stated before "NO FAD HAIR CUTS OR STYLES". Please be sure that this policy will once again be strictly enforced. NO "white walled" (shaved sides), tails, corn rows, or more than 2 of anything (braids, ponytails, etc.), wrapped tails 'Boardwalk style, twisted rows, anything new that came out this summer, etc. Natural hair coloring only is permitted for students (the color God gave you). Thank you in advance for your cooperation. The decision of the administration is final.
Gym Uniforms For Boys and Girls (ALL GRADES):
All gym uniforms may be purchased at the local Flynn & O'Hara Uniform Store. Maroon T-shirt w/ logo, maroon sweatshirt w/ logo (this is optional but the only one permitted to be worn in school)), gray sweatpants w/ logo and gray gym or nylon shorts w/ school logo (optional for warmer weather). All gym wear MUST have the logo on it. Please make sure to have a back up in case anything "gets lost". In the event that your child does not have the proper gym uniform they must wear their regular uniform. If you have any question -- ask first.
